DETAILS: Her name is Carmen. And if you ever meet her gaze, you’ll understand - this name was given to her with all the heart in the world. In her dark eyes lives a spark, the kind that makes you want to dance flamenco even without music. But for now, she has nowhere to dance.

Carmen was born in a shelter on March 7, 2025, and in her first year of life, she has never once felt warm hands that would call her “mine.” She is a strong girl - sturdy, confident, with the character of a future loyal companion.

Her life right now is four walls of an enclosure.

She watches people pass by, sees other dogs go home… and stays behind.

Carmen doesn’t complain — she simply waits. But there are things that cannot be replaced by food or a roof over her head: the feeling of freedom, the joy of running, the smell of grass, the touch of loving hands.

She could be running through fields, diving into cool water, chasing sunbeams…

Instead, she catches rare moments of attention and quietly dreams that one day the door will open — and it will be her person.

Carmen has a wonderful temperament. She gets along great with other dogs and children, and she is a very gentle, people-oriented girl. She has only seen cats once in her life — and she didn’t like them 😀. And of course, life in the shelter doesn’t make her character better, which is exactly why she truly needs her own loving and devoted owner — someone she will love with all her heart, faithfully and endlessly.

Carmen doesn’t ask for much. Only a chance.
