Sponsor a Dog

We try to rehome as many dogs as possible, but we do still have a number of dogs living with Jack and Lynn in Cyprus because they are unable to be rehomed.

In some cases, this is due to age, and in others because of health conditions or anxieties. The costs for medications, treatments, and food for these dogs add up significantly and we need help to ease these costs.

Our dog sponsorship campaigns are set up for each dog needing your help. With just a single text message, you can set up an automatic monthly donation. This initial cost will be the donation amount that you set, plus two standard network-rate message fees. After this, a monthly donation fee as set by you will be taken.

We appreciate circumstances can change, so, if you need to stop the donation, this can be done with a simple text message by following the instructions sent to you when setting up your initial donation.

Fiona

Sadly, Fiona had a home and was due to fly to the UK in January. We knew she had leishmania and had raised money for her medication but an x-ray has now shown she has cancer. She's only four. She's unable to go back to the shelter and now needs to stay with Jack and Lynn, so she can have palliative care. She's on high quality food as she has a poor appetite, so we need help to cover the costs for both this and her ongoing medication.

Eddie

Eddie arrived at the beginning of summer 2024 after his owner passed away. The family took him to the shelter, where he was not coping well. This boy is an older dog and is living his final years with Jack and Lynn - we desperately need help to cover the costs of a specialist dentist to remove some of his teeth that are rotten because he is now struggling to eat and now getting infections in his blood, which is affecting his kidneys. He's still very mobile and loves cuddles, so we would love to make his final years more comfortable.

Talulah

Also known as Lulu. She was found on a building site with puppies - people took the puppies but left her. Rescued by a shelter, Lynn went to visit and offered to take her home because of the state she was in from having litter after litter off puppies. She also has a lump on her side from a broken rib, potentially from being kicked. Whilst Jack was in the UK, she stopped eating, so Lynn had to call the mobile vet out - they diagnosed her with sepsis and confirmed that if she had not of seen the vet that day, she would have died - she had to have two major surgeries to avoid future issues. Although Lulu had a home lined up and had a trial, she has become incredibly attached to Lynn (although not encouraged at any point) and does not cope well with being apart from her. Again, a very happy dog with Jack and Lynn but we do need support for her food and standard treatments.

Minstrel

Jack and Lynn first took on Minstrel approximately 13 years ago from a shelter. She was so terrified, the volunteers at the shelter didn't know she was there because of her hiding. Although she has been with them all this time, she's still too scared to live in the house with the other dogs and lives in a comfy kennel in quieter indoor space, which is seperate to the house. It took around 4 years for her to feel comfortable Lynn to put a collar and lead on her - she will only go with Lynn for walk, but other days she's not confident enough to do that. When she does have the confidence to go for a walk or get in the car, she loves it. She is an older dog, so we need help with paying for food and vet bills.

Hope

Hope came to Jack and Lynn from a pound in Larnaca five years ago. The intention was to rehome her, and there were a lot of people interested but when she arrived, she was terrified and had fear aggression, so they had to work around her very gently and patiently. Although she is doing much better and now, and we would love her to go to a home, she is still incredibly nervous, is frightened of loud sounds and is unable to go for walks. For Hope, we predominantly need support with paying for her food.

Blacky

Blacky is a very nervous boy who takes a long time to trust people, which is why we haven't been able to rehome him, but is very comfortable and happy with Jack and Lynn. Sadly, he does have a disabilty due to a rounded spine, which means he is incontinent and is prone to pressure sores. We need to raise money to buy him some boots to keep his paws comfortable, off the floor beds (which he loves) and good quality food.

Delilah

Delilah was found running loose on the road, so Jack and Lynn brought her home. They soon noticed that she couldn't wag her tail and had to control of it - the vets confirmed that she has a broken back, which had fused due to how long ago it happened. She is doubley incontinent, which means it would have been too difficult to rehome her. After two years of being cared for, she is now on a diet, which helps her tummy but she did have to have her tail amputated to keep her clean. She is a very happy girl and enjoys a cuddle but we do need help towards the cost of her food because her long term diet of raw is more expensive than kibble.

Betty

Although Betty has leishmania, the aim was to rehome her, but sadly, this poor girl has had one health issue after another, including a chronic ear infection and eye infections where she needed medications and steriods. Through scans for another issue, the vets also found she had kidney stones, which was causing her discomfort and pain. She's now on a special diet for the kidney stones, regular medication and eye drops. With this regular care, her quality of life is still good with Jack and Lynn. She eats well, enjoys sofa life and loves cuddles (and paws you if you stop the strokes), but we do need some help for the ongoing vet bills and treatments.
