DETAILS: Dexter is a 2-year-old German Shepherd mixed breed, but don’t expect a towering guard dog… he’s a fun-sized version – think “German Shepherd: compact edition.”
His foster found him while out walking her own dogs, in a heartbreaking state—skin and bones, covered in ticks and fleas, and weighing just 12kg. Despite everything, he cautiously followed her home, trusting enough to accept a meal, water, and eventually, love.
Since then, Dexter has made an incredible recovery. He’s been with his foster for over a month now, and he’s such a super boy … he listens well, walks without tugging your arm off, and has perfected the “I deserve another treat” look. 🐕
